To start the McCulloch M53–625 CMD ALU Lawn Mower, ensure that the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is adequate, and the spark plug is connected. Prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb 3-5 times. Pull the starter rope firmly to start the engine.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than E10 to prevent engine damage.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Check the fuel level and quality, ensure the spark plug is clean and connected, and make sure the air filter is clean. Additionally, confirm that the safety lever is engaged.
First, disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starts. Tilt the mower to the side where the carburetor and air filter are up. Use a garden hose or scraper to remove grass build-up from the deck.
Remove the blade from the mower, secure it in a vice, and use a file or bench grinder to sharpen the cutting edge evenly. Ensure the blade is balanced before reinstalling it.
The McCulloch M53–625 CMD ALU has a centralized height adjustment lever. Move the lever to the desired position to set the cutting height between 25mm to 102mm.
Excessive vibration may be due to an unbalanced blade, loose engine mounting bolts, or debris lodged in the mower deck. Check and secure the blade and bolts, and clear any obstructions.
Regularly service the mower by changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, sharpening the blades, and maintaining proper tire pressure.
Before storing, drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops. Change the oil, clean the air filter, and remove the spark plug to add a few drops of oil into the cylinder. Store in a dry place.
