To start the lawn mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is correct, and the spark plug is connected. Then, pull the starter handle firmly until the engine starts.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than 10% as they can damage the engine.
Clean the air filter after every 25 hours of use. If the filter is damaged or excessively dirty, replace it with a new one to ensure optimal performance.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the mower deck and move it to the desired position. The mower has multiple height settings for different grass lengths.
First, check the fuel level and ensure fresh fuel is used. Verify the spark plug is clean and connected properly, and check if the air filter is clean. Also, inspect the ignition system for any loose connections.
Use SAE 30 oil for general use. If operating in colder conditions, SAE 10W-30 may be used. Always check the owner’s manual for specific recommendations.
Regularly inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Sharpen the blades after approximately 25 hours of use or when you notice a decrease in cutting performance. Replace blades if they are bent or cracked.
Before storing for winter, empty the fuel tank, disconnect the spark plug, and clean the mower thoroughly. Store the mower in a dry place and cover it to protect against dust and moisture.
After use, turn off the mower and disconnect the spark plug. Use a hose to rinse off grass clippings and debris from the deck and blades. Dry the mower thoroughly to prevent rusting.
Always wear safety goggles and sturdy footwear. Keep hands and feet away from the cutting deck while in operation. Do not operate the mower on wet grass to avoid slipping. Ensure children and pets are at a safe distance.
