To start the lawn mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Press the primer bulb 3-5 times, pull the safety lever against the handlebar, and then pull the starter cord firmly.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
It is recommended to sharpen the mower blades at the beginning of each mowing season and as needed throughout the season to ensure a clean cut.
Check if there is fuel in the tank and ensure the fuel is fresh. Verify that the spark plug is clean and properly connected. Also, inspect the air filter for any blockages.
To change the oil, run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Then, disconnect the spark plug wire, tilt the mower to the side, and drain the oil into a suitable container. Refill with the recommended oil type and amount.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting and sharpening the blades, and ensuring all nuts and bolts are tightened.
Ensure the blades are sharp and balanced. Mow only when the grass is dry, and adjust the cutting height to avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade at once.
Excessive vibration may be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades. Check the blades for damage and ensure they are properly balanced. Tighten any loose parts and bolts.
Before storing, run the engine until it runs out of fuel. Clean the mower thoroughly, remove the battery (if applicable), and store it in a dry, sheltered location. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and debris.
Always wear appropriate protective gear, including gloves and safety glasses. Clear the mowing area of debris and ensure bystanders and pets are at a safe distance. Never attempt to clear clogs or adjust the mower while it is running.
