Ensure the fuel tank is filled, set the throttle to the start position, and pull the starter cord firmly.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected properly, and verify that the oil level is adequate. Clean or replace the air filter if necessary.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 10W-30 for varying temperature ranges.
Locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel and move it to the desired position to adjust the cutting height.
Check for debris lodged in the blade area, ensure the blade is not bent or damaged, and confirm that all nuts and bolts are tightened securely.
Ensure the mower is off and disconnect the spark plug. Use a brush or hose to remove grass and debris from the undercarriage.
Regularly check oil levels, clean the air filter every 25 hours, sharpen or replace the blade as needed, and inspect the spark plug each season.
Disconnect the spark plug lead, remove the old spark plug with a wrench, and install a new, properly gapped spark plug. Reattach the lead securely.
Drain the fuel tank, change the oil, clean the mower thoroughly, and store it in a dry location. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starts.
