To start the McCulloch M51-140 R Lawn Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the throttle to the 'start' position, and pull the starter cord briskly.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 10W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours of operation or at least once a season.
The recommended mowing height is between 1.5 to 3 inches, depending on the grass type and conditions.
Ensure the mower is turned off and cool. Use a hose to gently wash away clippings and debris from the deck and blades. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
Check the fuel level and quality, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and ensure the air filter is clean. Replace any faulty parts and try starting again.
Regularly sharpen the mower blades and adjust the mowing height according to the grass condition and type.
Locate the height adjustment lever on the wheels, pull it towards the wheel, and move it to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height.
Drain the fuel tank, clean the mower deck, change the oil, and remove the spark plug to add a few drops of oil into the cylinder. Reinstall the spark plug without connecting the cable.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade, loose parts, or debris caught in the mower deck. Check and tighten any loose parts, clean the deck, and balance or replace the blades if necessary.
