To start the McCulloch M46 RSD Titanium Lawn Mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled with fresh gasoline and the oil level is adequate. Pull the starter cord firmly while holding the safety lever against the handle.
Check for stale fuel and replace it if necessary. Ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected. Check the air filter for blockages and clean or replace it if needed.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season.
Ensure the mower is turned off and the spark plug is disconnected. Use a garden hose to spray underneath the deck to remove grass clippings and debris. Dry thoroughly before storing.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever near the wheels. Move the lever to the desired position to raise or lower the cutting height.
Check for debris stuck in the blade or under the deck. Inspect the blade for damage or imbalance and tighten any loose parts. Consider having the blade professionally balanced if the issue persists.
Remove the spark plug for safety, then detach the blade. Use a file or a bench grinder to sharpen the blade, maintaining the original angle. Reattach securely after sharpening.
Locate the air filter cover on the side of the engine. Remove the cover, take out the old filter, and insert a new one. Ensure the cover is securely fastened after replacement.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting and sharpening the blade, and ensuring all nuts and bolts are tightened.
Before storing, clean the mower thoroughly and remove any fuel to prevent gum deposits. Store in a dry, sheltered location. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
