Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum of 87 octane rating. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then every 25 hours or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Ensure there is adequate fuel and the spark plug is in good condition. Check the air filter for blockage and ensure the carburetor is clean.
The cutting height can be adjusted using the height adjustment levers located on each wheel. Set the levers to the desired height for even cutting.
Regularly inspect the blade for damage and sharpness. Sharpen or replace the blade if it is dull or damaged to ensure effective mowing.
Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. Use a brush or compressed air to remove debris from the deck and blades. Avoid using water to prevent rust.
Excessive vibration may be caused by an unbalanced or damaged blade. Check the blade for damage and balance, and replace if necessary.
Check for clogged air filters and clean or replace them. Ensure the fuel is fresh and the spark plug is in good condition. Adjust the carburetor if needed.
Drain the fuel tank and run the engine to burn off any remaining fuel. Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and store it in a dry place. Disconnect the spark plug wire.
