Ensure that the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is adequate, and the spark plug is connected. Then, press the primer bulb three times, hold the safety lever, and pull the starter cord firmly.
Check the fuel level and quality, inspect the spark plug for damage or dirt, ensure the air filter is clean, and verify that the primer bulb is functioning.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours or at the start of each mowing season.
Locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel and move it to the desired cutting height position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than E10 to prevent engine damage.
After each use, disconnect the spark plug, tilt the mower, and use a hose to wash away grass clippings. Avoid using excessive water pressure.
Check for debris or damage under the deck, inspect the blade for balance issues, and ensure all fasteners are tightened securely.
Remove the blade following the instruction manual, use a file or sharpening tool to sharpen the cutting edge evenly, and reinstall the blade securely.
Perform regular checks on the air filter, spark plug, and blade. Change the oil and clean the mower deck periodically for optimal performance.
Drain the fuel, clean the mower thoroughly, and store it in a dry, sheltered area. Consider removing the battery if applicable to prevent discharge.
