To start the McCulloch M46-140 AWRX, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the throttle to the start position, and pull the starter cord firmly.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and inspect the air filter for blockages. If issues persist, consult the user manual or a professional.
Regular maintenance should be done every 25 hours of use or at the start of each mowing season, including oil changes, air filter cleaning, and blade sharpening.
Disconnect the spark plug, tilt the mower, and use a hose to rinse the deck. Scrape off any grass buildup with a plastic scraper.
Use SAE 30 oil for general conditions. Refer to the manual for specific recommendations based on temperature variations.
Ensure the blade is sharp, the deck is clean, and mow when the grass is dry. Adjust the cutting height according to the grass length.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the old spark plug using a socket wrench, and install a new one, ensuring it's properly gapped.
Check for debris in the blade area, ensure the blade is balanced, and inspect for any loose parts. Tighten bolts as necessary.
Use the height adjustment lever located on the wheels to set the desired cutting height. Ensure all wheels are set to the same level.
It is not recommended to mow wet grass as it can clog the deck, cause uneven cuts, and strain the engine. Wait until the grass is dry.
