To start the McCulloch M145SV, ensure the fuel valve is open, the spark plug is connected, and the throttle is set to the starting position. Pull the starter handle firmly.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than 10%.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or at the start of each mowing season.
Check for fuel availability, spark plug connection, and ensure the air filter is clean. Also, verify that the fuel is fresh.
Locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel and move it to the desired position. Ensure all four wheels are set to the same height.
Inspect the blades regularly for damage and sharpness. Sharpen or replace blades as necessary to ensure a clean cut.
Drain the fuel tank, change the oil, clean the mower, and store it in a dry place. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starting.

Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and clean it with soap and water. Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
