To start the McCulloch M 51–160 CMDWA Lawn Mower, ensure that the fuel tank is filled, then pull the starter rope firmly while holding the safety handle.
Use SAE 30 motor oil for optimal performance in temperatures above 32°F (0°C). In colder climates, consider using SAE 10W-30.
Sharpen the blades at least once per mowing season or more frequently if the grass appears torn or frayed after mowing.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, and verify the air filter is not clogged.
Perform maintenance such as changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, and inspecting the spark plug every 25 hours of use or at the start of each season.
Turn off the engine, disconnect the spark plug, and use a garden hose to wash away grass clippings and debris from the underside of the mower.
It is not recommended to use the mower on wet grass as it can cause clumping and may damage the lawn mower.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel and set them to the desired height.
Check for debris lodged in the blade area, ensure the blade is balanced and securely attached, and inspect for any damaged components.
Clean the mower thoroughly, drain or stabilize the fuel, remove the battery if applicable, and store it in a dry, sheltered area.
