To start the McCulloch M 145, ensure the fuel tank is filled, set the throttle to the "start" position, and pull the starter cord firmly.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and inspect the air filter for clogs. Replace any damaged parts as necessary.
It is recommended to change the oil every 25 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 10W-30 for varying temperature ranges.
Regularly inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace the blades as necessary, typically every 20-25 hours of use.
