To start the McCulloch LM T3546S, ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Press the primer bulb three times, hold the safety lever against the handle, and pull the starter cord firmly.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol-blended fuels greater than 10% ethanol.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 50 hours or at the start of each mowing season.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel and move it to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
If the mower doesn’t start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, the air filter is clean, and the primer bulb is pressed at least three times before starting.
Turn off the mower and disconnect the spark plug. Use a garden hose to rinse off grass clippings and debris. Avoid spraying directly on the engine. Wipe down with a cloth for a thorough clean.
Inspect the blades regularly for dullness or damage. Sharpen them every 25 hours of use or as needed using a blade sharpener or have them professionally sharpened.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, clean the mower thoroughly, and store it in a cool, dry place. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starting.
Ensure the cutting deck is level and the wheels are set at the same height. Check the blades for sharpness and balance. Uneven terrain might also cause uneven cuts.
Regularly check and change the oil, keep the air filter clean, inspect and sharpen the blades, and ensure all bolts and nuts are tight. Follow the user manual for detailed maintenance procedures.
