Ensure the brushcutter is on a flat surface. Set the choke to the start position, press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible, pull the starter rope firmly until the engine starts, and then move the choke to the run position.
Use a 40:1 ratio of unleaded gasoline to high-quality 2-stroke engine oil. Mix thoroughly before filling the fuel tank.
Clean the air filter after every 5 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Remove the filter, wash it in warm soapy water, rinse, and let it dry before reinstalling.
Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the spool from the trimmer head, replace with the appropriate line, and wind it evenly according to the directional arrows on the spool. Reinstall the spool into the trimmer head.
Check the fuel level and ensure the correct fuel mixture. Inspect the spark plug for cleanliness and proper gap. Confirm that the air filter is clean and the choke is in the correct position.
Inspect the cutting attachment for damage or imbalance. Check that all nuts and bolts are tightened securely. Make sure the shaft is not bent and the engine mounts are intact.
Drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor. Clean the cutting head and air filter. Store in a dry, dust-free area away from direct sunlight.
Locate the carburetor adjustment screws. Use a small screwdriver to make slight adjustments. Turn the screws in small increments, checking the engine response each time. Consult the manual for specific settings.
Regularly check and clean the air filter, inspect and clean the spark plug, and check the fuel filter every 25 hours of use. Inspect the cutting attachment and replace as needed.
Ensure the engine is cool. Disconnect the spark plug wire, use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug, and check the gap on the new plug before installing it. Reconnect the wire.
