To start the McCulloch 14596 Lawn Mower, ensure that the fuel tank is filled, set the throttle to the 'Start' position, and pull the starter cord firmly.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum 87 octane rating. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season.
Uneven cutting may be due to a dull blade, uneven tire pressure, or an improperly adjusted cutting deck. Check and resolve these issues accordingly.
Regularly inspect the blade for damage and sharpness. Sharpen the blade every 20-25 hours of use and replace it if it is damaged or worn beyond repair.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and inspect the air filter. Clean or replace components as necessary.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever near the wheels and set it to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height.
Perform regular maintenance checks before each use, including inspecting the blade, changing the oil every 25 hours, and cleaning the air filter every season.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry before reinstalling.
Before storing, clean the mower, empty the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, and remove the spark plug. Store in a dry, protected area.
