To ensure effective cleaning, place larger items at the back and sides, ensuring that nothing blocks the spray arms. Avoid nesting items and make sure all surfaces are accessible to water jets. Use the top rack for glasses and cups, and the bottom rack for plates and pots.
First, check for blockages in the filter, drain hose, and sink drain. Ensure the drain hose is correctly positioned and not kinked. If the issue persists, there might be a problem with the pump or a blockage deeper in the plumbing.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack, locate the cylindrical filter at the bottom of the dishwasher, and twist it counterclockwise to remove it. Rinse it under running water and use a soft brush to remove any stubborn debris. Reinstall the filter by twisting it clockwise.
It is recommended to use high-quality dishwasher tablets or powder. Avoid using hand dishwashing liquids as they can cause excessive suds and potentially damage the dishwasher.
To reset the dishwasher, press and hold the Start/Reset button for approximately 3 seconds. This will cancel the current cycle, allowing you to start a new one after the dishwasher drains.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the filter monthly, checking and clearing spray arm holes, wiping the door seal, and running an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner every few months to remove limescale and grease buildup.
White residue is often caused by hard water mineral deposits. Ensure the rinse aid dispenser is filled, use a detergent designed for hard water, or consider installing a water softener.
To adjust the rinse aid setting, open the dishwasher door and locate the rinse aid dispenser. Turn the dial to adjust the amount dispensed. A higher setting may be needed for hard water areas.
Unusual noises can be caused by items in the dishwasher interfering with the spray arms, loose items in the racks, or debris in the filter. Check and adjust the load, and inspect the spray arms and filter for obstructions.
To improve drying performance, ensure the rinse aid dispenser is full, select a longer or higher temperature drying cycle, and open the dishwasher door slightly at the end of the cycle to allow steam to escape.
