To start a wash cycle, load your dishes into the dishwasher, add detergent to the dispenser, close the door securely, select your desired wash program using the control panel, and press the start button.
Check if the drain hose is kinked or clogged. Also, ensure that the sink drain is not blocked. Clean the dishwasher filter and check the air gap if your setup includes one.
It's recommended to clean the filter once a month to maintain optimal performance and prevent clogs.
Use a high-quality dishwasher detergent in either powder, liquid, or tablet form. Avoid using regular dish soap as it can cause excessive sudsing.
To reset the dishwasher, turn it off, unplug it from the power outlet, wait for about 10 minutes, and then plug it back in. Turn it on and try running a cycle again.
Ensure that the spray arms can rotate freely and are not blocked by large utensils. Check that the filter is clean and that you’re using the correct amount of detergent. Also, avoid overloading the dishwasher.
Place larger dishes and pots at the bottom rack and smaller items like glasses and cups on the top rack. Ensure that nothing obstructs the spray arms for effective cleaning.
Check if any dishes are protruding and blocking the door. Inspect the door latch for damage and ensure that the door seal is clean and not obstructed by debris.
Clean the filter and check the drain for any blockages. Run a cleaning cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar placed on the top rack.
While it’s not necessary to rinse dishes, it’s advisable to scrape off large food particles to prevent clogs and ensure better cleaning results.
