Ensure that dishes are loaded such that water can reach all surfaces. Do not block the spray arms, and place larger items at the back and sides. Use the top rack for smaller, delicate items and the bottom rack for larger pots and pans.
Check for blockages in the filter, drain hose, and garbage disposal. Clean the filters and ensure the drain hose is free from kinks. Reset the dishwasher if needed.
Remove the bottom rack, locate the filters at the bottom of the dishwasher, twist to unlock, and lift them out. Rinse under running water and use a soft brush to remove debris. Reassemble by reversing the steps.
Use a high-quality, automatic dishwasher detergent in either powder, gel, or tablet form. Avoid using regular dish soap as it can cause excessive suds.
Press and hold the Start/Reset button for a few seconds until the dishwasher turns off. Wait a few minutes, then press the button again to restart the cycle.
Ensure that you are using rinse aid to help prevent spots. Check that the water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C) and that you are not overloading the dishwasher.
Regularly clean the filters and spray arms, check for blockages in the drain, and run a cleaning cycle with a dishwasher cleaner every few months. Ensure the door seals are clean and intact.
Open the rinse aid dispenser by turning the cap to the left. Use a small screwdriver to adjust the dial to a higher number for more rinse aid, or a lower number for less.
Check for any loose items or utensils that might be rattling. Ensure that the spray arms can rotate freely and that the dishwasher is level. If noise persists, inspect for any mechanical issues.
Ensure that you are using a rinse aid and select the heated drying option if available. Allow the dishwasher to cool slightly before unloading to improve drying efficiency.
