To start a wash cycle, load the dishwasher, add detergent, close the door securely, then select your desired cycle using the control panel. Press the 'Start' button to initiate the wash cycle.
First, check if the drain hose is kinked or blocked. Ensure the sink's drain is not clogged. Clean the dishwasher filter and check the pump for any obstructions.
It is recommended to clean the dishwasher filter every 1-2 weeks, especially if you use the dishwasher frequently, to ensure optimal performance.
Use a high-quality dishwasher detergent that is suitable for your local water type (hard or soft). Tablets, powders, and gels are all acceptable, but check the user manual for specific recommendations.
Ensure that dishes are loaded correctly without blocking spray arms, check that the spray arms are not clogged, use the right amount of detergent, and verify that the water temperature is at least 120°F.
Unusual noises can be caused by items being knocked by the spray arms. Make sure dishes are loaded properly and not touching the spray arms. Inspect the dishwasher for any loose objects or debris.
To cancel a wash cycle, press and hold the 'Start/Cancel' button until the cycle stops. Wait for any water inside to drain before opening the door.
White residue is often due to hard water. Ensure you are using a rinse aid and check if the water softener setting is correctly configured for your water hardness level.
To reset the dishwasher, press and hold the 'Start/Cancel' button for a few seconds until the display clears. This will reset the current cycle and settings.
Regularly clean the filter, check and clean the spray arms, use a dishwasher cleaner monthly, and inspect the door seal for any debris or damage.
