To adjust the temperature, locate the thermostat dial inside the freezer compartment. Turn the dial to the right to lower the temperature and to the left to increase it. Allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize after making adjustments.
Ensure that the freezer is plugged in and the thermostat is set correctly. Check the door seals for any gaps and ensure the freezer is not overloaded. If the problem persists, consider defrosting the unit or contacting customer service.
It is recommended to defrost your freezer at least once a year or when the frost build-up reaches around 6mm (1/4 inch). This will ensure optimal efficiency and performance.
To manually defrost, unplug the freezer, remove all food items, and leave the door open. Place towels at the base to absorb water from the melting ice. Once defrosted, clean the interior with a mild detergent, dry completely, and restart the freezer.
Ensure that the freezer is placed in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from heat sources. Regularly defrost the freezer, keep the door seals clean, and ensure the door is closed tightly. Avoid overloading the freezer.
Water pooling can be due to a blocked defrost drain. Check and clear the drain if necessary. Also, ensure the freezer door is sealing properly to prevent excess frost, which can lead to water pooling when it melts.
The ideal temperature setting for a freezer is around -18°C (0°F). This temperature will keep your food safe and preserve its quality for the longest time.
To clean the interior, unplug the freezer and remove all contents. Use a mixture of warm water and mild detergent to wipe down all surfaces. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly before plugging the freezer back in.
Unusual noises could be due to the freezer not being level. Check and adjust the leveling feet as necessary. Ensure there are no loose items inside that could be vibrating. If the noise persists, contact a technician.
Regularly inspect the door seals for any cracks or tears. To test the seal, close the door on a piece of paper; if it slides out easily, the seal may need replacing. Clean the seals with a damp cloth to remove any debris that might prevent a tight seal.
