To clean the lint filter, first ensure the dryer is turned off. Open the door, locate the lint filter at the bottom edge of the door opening, and pull it out. Remove the lint by hand or with a soft brush, then replace the filter back into its slot.
First, check if the dryer is plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure the door is fully closed and that the start button is pressed firmly. If the issue persists, check the thermal fuse and door switch for faults.
Verify that the dryer is receiving adequate power. Check the heating element, thermal fuse, and thermostat for any signs of damage or failure. Make sure the venting system is not clogged, as this can cause heating issues.
Regularly clean the lint filter after every load. Inspect and clean the dryer vent and ducts every few months to prevent lint buildup. Check the drum and belt for wear and tear and replace them if necessary.
Squeaking noises may indicate worn or damaged drum rollers, idler pulleys, or the drum belt. Inspect these components and replace any that are worn or broken to resolve the noise issue.
To prevent wrinkles, do not overload the dryer and remove clothes promptly after the cycle ends. Use the appropriate cycle and temperature settings for the fabric type, and consider using the dryer’s wrinkle guard feature if available.
The Kenmore 75132 dryer can be stacked with a compatible washer using a stacking kit. Ensure the kit is designed for your specific washer and dryer models and follow the installation instructions carefully.
To level the dryer, adjust the leveling legs located at each corner of the dryer. Use a wrench to raise or lower the legs until the dryer is level from front to back and side to side, checking with a spirit level.
Inspect the exhaust vent at least once a year for blockages or damage. Replace it if it shows significant wear, is damaged, or if lint buildup is excessive and cannot be easily removed.
Clothes may take longer to dry if the lint filter or exhaust vent is clogged, reducing airflow. Ensure these are clean and unobstructed. Also, check the load size and ensure it is not too large, which can impede drying efficiency.
