To reset your Kenmore dishwasher, press the "Heated Dry" button, then "Normal Wash," then "Heated Dry," and finally "Normal Wash" again. This sequence will initiate a diagnostic cycle and reset the control board.
Check the drain hose for kinks or blockages, clean the filter and sump area, and ensure the garbage disposal knockout plug is removed if newly installed.
Remove the bottom rack, locate the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher tub, twist it counterclockwise to remove, rinse under running water, and reinstall the filter.
Make sure the rinse aid dispenser is full, use the correct amount of detergent, and check that the spray arms are not clogged or blocked.
Use the "Heavy" or "Pots & Pans" cycle, which provides longer washing times and higher temperatures for effective cleaning.
Ensure the door is fully closed and latched, check the circuit breaker, inspect the control panel for errors, and verify that the delayed start is not activated.
Regularly clean the filter, check and clean spray arms, wipe down the door gasket, and run a cleaning cycle with dishwasher cleaner monthly.
Use a rinse aid to enhance drying, select the "Heated Dry" option, and open the door slightly after the cycle to let excess moisture escape.
Inspect the dishwasher for loose items, ensure that dishes and utensils are properly loaded, and check for obstructions in the spray arms or pump.
Remove the lower or upper rack as needed, unscrew the retaining nut or clip holding the spray arm, replace it with a new one, and secure it by tightening the nut or clip.
