To reset the IC-400PRO to factory settings, turn off the transceiver. Then, press and hold the [SET] and [▲] buttons while turning the power on. This will restore the default settings.
To program frequencies, turn on the radio and press the [SET] button. Use the ▲/▼ buttons to select the desired channel, then press [SET] again to enter frequency mode. Enter the frequency using the keypad and save by pressing [SET].
To adjust the squelch level, press the [SQL] button, then use the ▲/▼ buttons to increase or decrease the squelch level. Press [SQL] again to save the setting.
First, ensure the microphone is securely connected. Check if the PTT button is functioning properly. Verify the frequency and power settings, and ensure the antenna is correctly attached. If the problem persists, consult the user manual for further diagnostics.
Check the power connections and ensure the power source is functioning. Inspect the fuse in the power cable for any damage. If everything appears normal, consider a professional inspection or repair.

To lock the keypad, press and hold the [FUNC] button, then press the [LOCK] button. This will prevent any unintentional key presses. Repeat the process to unlock the keypad.
Routinely clean the transceiver with a soft, dry cloth. Inspect the antenna connections and cables for wear. Periodically check and update firmware if applicable, and ensure all buttons and knobs are functioning smoothly.
The IC-400PRO is typically powered by an external power source and does not contain an internal battery. Ensure your power supply is functioning and properly connected.
