To reset the tire pressure monitoring system, ensure all tires are inflated to the recommended pressure. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine, and then hold down the TPMS reset button (usually located under the steering wheel) until the TPMS indicator blinks three times. Drive the vehicle for about 20 minutes to complete the reset process.
For optimal performance, use SAE 5W-20 or 5W-30 engine oil that meets API Service SM or higher. It's always a good idea to check the owner's manual or consult with a Hyundai dealer for specific oil recommendations.
To replace the cabin air filter, open the glove box and remove the damper cord. Press the sides of the glove box inward to release it from the dashboard. The cabin air filter compartment is located behind the glove box. Open the compartment, remove the old filter, and insert the new one, ensuring the airflow direction arrows are properly aligned. Reassemble in reverse order.
If your Sonata Hybrid won't start, check the battery connections and ensure they are clean and tight. If the battery is dead, try jump-starting the vehicle. If the car still doesn't start, there might be an issue with the starter or the hybrid system, and it is recommended to consult a professional mechanic.
The recommended maintenance schedule includes an oil change and tire rotation every 7,500 miles, brake inspection every 15,000 miles, and coolant replacement every 60,000 miles. Always refer to the owner's manual for the most accurate maintenance intervals.
With the car on a level surface, start the engine and let it warm up. Locate the transmission dipstick near the back of the engine bay. Pull it out, wipe it clean, reinsert it, and then pull it out again to check the fluid level against the marked indicators. The fluid should be within the marked range.
Several factors could affect fuel economy, including tire pressure, driving habits, and the condition of the engine and hybrid components. Ensure the tires are properly inflated, and consider having the vehicle inspected for any mechanical issues that could impact fuel efficiency.
If the hybrid system warning light illuminates, safely pull over and turn off the engine. Restart the vehicle to see if the light turns off. If it remains on, there may be an issue with the hybrid system, and it is advisable to have the vehicle inspected by a qualified Hyundai technician.
To improve battery life, avoid exposing the vehicle to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods. Regularly drive the vehicle to keep the battery charged and follow the recommended maintenance schedule for the hybrid system.
Open the hood and locate the back of the headlight assembly. Disconnect the power connector and remove the dust cover. Release the retaining clip and carefully remove the old bulb. Insert the new bulb without touching the glass, secure it with the clip, and reconnect the power connector and dust cover. Ensure the bulb is functioning before closing the hood.
