To reset the tire pressure monitoring system, turn the ignition to the "ON" position but do not start the engine. Press and hold the TPMS button until the warning light blinks twice. Release the button and drive the vehicle at a speed of 30-60 mph for at least 20 minutes to calibrate the system.
Honda recommends using 0W-20 synthetic oil for the 2014 Accord Coupe EX-L. This oil type helps improve fuel efficiency and provides optimal engine protection.
To pair your phone, enable Bluetooth on your phone and ensure it is discoverable. Press the "Phone" button on the audio system, select "Yes" to pair, then select "Add Bluetooth Device." Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.
Open the glove box and remove the damper arm on the right side. Push in the sides of the glove box to release it and lower it down. Remove the cabin air filter cover and replace the old filter with a new one, ensuring the airflow direction is correct. Reassemble in reverse order.
If the key fob battery is dead, use the physical key hidden inside the fob to unlock the driver's door. To start the car, hold the key fob close to the start button and press the brake pedal, then push the start button. Replace the battery as soon as possible.
To check the transmission fluid, ensure the car is on a level surface and the engine is warm. Turn off the engine, remove the dipstick from the transmission, wipe it clean, then reinsert it fully and remove it to check the level. The fluid should be between the upper and lower marks.
The recommended maintenance schedule includes oil changes every 7,500 miles, tire rotation every 7,500 miles, brake inspection every 15,000 miles, and a comprehensive inspection every 30,000 miles. Refer to the owner's manual for detailed intervals and additional service items.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure tires are properly inflated, remove excess weight from the vehicle, use cruise control on highways, and maintain a steady speed. Regular maintenance such as oil changes and air filter replacements also helps.
A squealing noise during startup is often caused by a worn or loose serpentine belt. Inspect the belt for wear and tension. If the belt appears damaged or loose, it may need adjustment or replacement.
To update the navigation system, obtain the latest map update from the official Honda navigation website or a Honda dealership. Insert the update DVD into the system and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.
