To connect your FLIR E4 to a Wi-Fi network, power on the camera, go to the settings menu, select 'Wireless', and then choose your network. Enter the password if prompted and confirm the connection.
You can transfer images by connecting your FLIR E4 to a computer using a USB cable or by using the FLIR Tools software to wirelessly transfer images if connected to Wi-Fi.
If your FLIR E4 is not turning on, check if the battery is charged. Try charging the camera with the provided charger. If it still doesn’t turn on, perform a reset by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
The FLIR E4 generally self-calibrates. However, for manual calibration, ensure the camera is warmed up, and then use the calibration option in the settings menu to adjust the temperature readings if necessary.
Regularly clean the lens with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure the battery is charged between use and update the firmware periodically through the FLIR Tools software for optimal performance.
To update the firmware, connect the camera to your computer via USB, launch FLIR Tools, and check for updates. Follow the on-screen instructions to install any available updates.
The FLIR E4 is primarily designed for capturing thermal images. It does not support video recording. For video capabilities, consider models in the FLIR Exx series.
Thermal images display heat signatures with different colors. Use the provided software to analyze temperatures. Warmer areas are typically shown in red or orange, while cooler areas are in blue or green.
Ensure the camera's firmware is up-to-date, restart the device, and try reconnecting to the network. Check for interference or try connecting to another network to determine if the issue persists.
To reset the FLIR E4 to factory settings, navigate to the settings menu, select 'Reset', and confirm the action. This will erase all user data and restore default settings.
