To turn on the Fagor MC-2LSAXNAT Hob, press the power button located on the control panel. Once activated, select the desired cooking zone and adjust the heat setting using the plus and minus buttons.
If the hob doesn't heat up, check if it is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure that the selected cooking zone is activated and a pan is placed on it, as the hob uses induction technology which requires compatible cookware.
To clean the hob, first ensure it is turned off and cool. Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild detergent to wipe the surface. Avoid abrasive materials that can scratch the glass. For stubborn stains, a specialized hob cleaner can be used.
The Fagor MC-2LSAXNAT Hob is an induction hob, which requires cookware made of ferrous metals. You can test compatibility by using a magnet; if it sticks to the bottom of the pan, it is suitable for use.
To lock the hob, press and hold the lock button on the control panel until the indicator light turns on. This prevents any changes to the settings until the lock is released by repeating the same process.
A buzzing noise is normal for induction hobs and is typically caused by the electromagnetic field. It may vary with the type of cookware and power level. If the noise seems excessive, ensure the cookware is flat and the base is clean.
To reset the cooking timer, press the timer button on the control panel, then use the plus and minus buttons to adjust the time. To cancel, press and hold the timer button until the display resets.
If the control panel is unresponsive, check if the child lock feature is activated. If not, try resetting the hob by turning it off at the mains for a few minutes before restarting.
To prevent scratches, avoid sliding cookware across the surface. Use utensils with smooth bottoms and clean the hob regularly to remove any residue that might cause abrasion.
Regularly clean the hob to prevent buildup of grime and ensure proper ventilation around the appliance. Check the power connections periodically and verify that cookware is suitable for induction cooking.
