To adjust the temperature, locate the control panel inside the refrigerator. Use the buttons to select the fridge or freezer compartment and adjust the temperature to your desired setting.
First, check if the doors are closing properly and the seals are intact. Ensure that the vents inside the fridge are not blocked. If the issue persists, try resetting the refrigerator by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.
The Fagor 1FFD-525NF is equipped with a No Frost system, eliminating the need for manual defrosting. However, if ice build-up occurs, check the door seals and ensure proper closing.
Unusual noises can be due to the fridge not being level, items inside vibrating against each other, or the compressor working harder. Ensure the refrigerator is level and that nothing is touching the walls inside.
To clean the condenser coils, first unplug the refrigerator. Locate the coils either at the back or beneath the appliance. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment or a coil cleaning brush to remove dust and debris.
Check if the bulb is burned out and replace it with a new one of the same type and wattage. If the new bulb doesn’t work, inspect the light socket and wiring for any visible issues.
Regularly clean the interior with a mixture of baking soda and water. Ensure food is covered and stored in airtight containers. Placing an open box of baking soda inside can help absorb odors.
Locate the water filter compartment inside the fridge. Twist the old filter counterclockwise to remove it. Insert the new filter and twist it clockwise until it is secure. Run water through the dispenser for a few minutes to clear any air and impurities.
Keep the doors closed to maintain the temperature. If the outage is prolonged, consider transferring perishables to a cooler with ice packs. Once power is restored, check the temperature settings and contents.
Unplug the refrigerator, wait for about 5 minutes, and then plug it back in. This will reset the control panel and may resolve any issues caused by the power failure.
