To adjust the temperature settings, locate the temperature control panel inside the refrigerator. Use the up and down buttons to set your desired temperature. For optimal performance, set the refrigerator between 37°F (3°C) and 40°F (4°C), and the freezer at 0°F (-18°C).
Check if the refrigerator is plugged in and the power is on. Ensure the temperature settings are correct. Clean the condenser coils and check for any obstructions in the airflow. If the issue persists, contact a professional technician.
Condenser coils should be cleaned at least twice a year to ensure efficient operation. If you have pets, consider cleaning them more frequently as pet hair can accumulate on the coils.
Water pooling can be due to a clogged defrost drain. Clear the drain using a pipe cleaner or a mixture of warm water and vinegar. Ensure that the drain is free of any blockages.
First, unplug the refrigerator. Remove the light cover by unscrewing it or gently prying it off. Replace the old bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage. Reattach the cover and plug the refrigerator back in.
Inspect the door gasket for any damage or debris. Clean the gasket with warm soapy water and ensure it is properly aligned. If the gasket is damaged, it may need to be replaced to ensure a proper seal.
Ensure the refrigerator is level and stable on the floor. Check for any loose parts or panels. If noise persists, it may be due to the compressor or fan, and professional servicing might be required.
Regularly clean the interior and exterior of the refrigerator. Check and clean the condenser coils twice a year. Inspect door seals monthly and defrost the freezer if necessary.
Check the door seal to ensure it is sealing properly. Avoid leaving the freezer door open for extended periods. If ice buildup continues, manually defrost the freezer by unplugging it and removing all items until the ice melts.
It is not recommended to transport the refrigerator on its side as it can cause compressor oil to flow into the cooling lines. If it must be laid on its side, allow it to stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in to ensure the oil settles back into the compressor.
