To adjust the temperature settings, locate the control panel inside the refrigerator compartment. Use the up and down arrows to set your desired temperature for both the refrigerator and freezer sections.
First, ensure that the refrigerator is plugged in and the power is on. Check if the temperature settings are correct. Inspect the door seals for any gaps or damage. If the issue persists, consider cleaning the condenser coils and ensuring adequate ventilation around the appliance.
It is recommended to clean the condenser coils at least twice a year to maintain optimal performance. Dust and debris can accumulate, reducing efficiency and causing the refrigerator to work harder.
The Fagor 3FSC-18XL is equipped with a frost-free system, which means manual defrosting is not required. However, if ice buildup occurs, ensure the door is sealing properly and check the defrost cycle.
Store food in airtight containers or wrapped tightly in plastic wrap to maintain freshness and prevent odors. Keep raw meats on the bottom shelf to avoid cross-contamination, and ensure air circulation by not overcrowding shelves.
Check if the refrigerator is level and stable on the floor. Inspect for any loose parts or objects that might be vibrating. If the noise persists, it could be due to the compressor or fan, and you may need to contact a technician.
Ensure the ice maker is turned on and that the water supply line is connected and not kinked. Check if the freezer is at the correct temperature. If issues continue, inspect the water filter for clogs or replacement needs.
Locate the water filter compartment, usually found inside the refrigerator. Twist the old filter counterclockwise to remove it. Insert the new filter and twist it clockwise until it is securely in place. Run a few gallons of water through it to flush out any air or particles.
Keep the refrigerator and freezer full but not overcrowded to maintain temperature. Ensure door seals are clean and functional. Set the temperature to the manufacturer's recommended settings and avoid placing the refrigerator in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
Remove all food and shelves. Use a mixture of mild soap and warm water to wipe down the interior surfaces. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Reassemble shelves and replace food items.
