Ensure the heater is mounted on a flat surface and securely fastened. Use the provided mounting brackets and follow the installation guide step-by-step to connect the electrical wiring safely.
Check the power supply and ensure the breaker is not tripped. Verify that the heater is properly plugged in and the power switch is in the 'ON' position. If issues persist, consult a certified electrician.
Turn off the heater and disconnect from the power source. Use a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the exterior. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Regularly inspect and clean the air intake and exhaust grilles to prevent dust buildup.
Some noise is normal due to the expansion and contraction of heating elements. If the noise is excessive or unusual, inspect for any loose parts or contact Dimplex support for assistance.
Set the thermostat to a comfortable level, typically between 20-22°C (68-72°F). Adjust according to personal preference and environmental conditions to maximize efficiency.
Ensure doors and windows are sealed to prevent heat loss. Use the heater in conjunction with ceiling fans to distribute warm air evenly. Adjust the thermostat to the lowest comfortable setting to conserve energy.
The heater includes an overheat protection system that automatically shuts off the unit if it becomes too hot. It also features a tip-over switch for added safety during operation.
Turn off the power and unplug the heater. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. If the fault persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
The Dimplex DECS2TN Heater is not recommended for use in bathrooms or damp areas unless specified as suitable for such environments. Always refer to the specific installation guidelines.
Immediately turn off the heater and unplug it. Check for any visible signs of damage or debris on the heating elements. If the issue persists, contact a qualified technician for a thorough inspection.
