To install the Danby DSL120BA, ensure it is positioned on a stable surface near a window. Secure the exhaust hose to the window kit and adjust the window panels to fit snugly. Plug the unit into a grounded electrical outlet and follow the user manual for additional setup details.
Check if the air filter is clean and not blocked by debris. Ensure that the room is not overly large for the unit's capacity. Verify that doors and windows are closed to prevent cool air from escaping.
It is recommended to clean the air filter every two weeks to maintain optimal performance. You can clean it by rinsing with warm water and letting it dry completely before reinserting it.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the air filter, checking the exhaust hose for obstructions, and inspecting the unit for any signs of damage or wear. Periodically clean the exterior with a damp cloth.
Ensure the unit is level and the drain plug is securely in place. Check if the drain pan is full and empty it if necessary. Inspect the drainage hose for blockages.
Unusual noises can be caused by loose components or debris in the fan. Turn off the unit and inspect the fan and motor. Tighten any loose screws and remove any foreign objects.
Error code "E1" indicates a temperature sensor issue. Turn off the unit and unplug it for a few minutes. If the error persists, contact customer support for further assistance.
Using the air conditioner in a room without windows is not recommended, as it requires an exhaust outlet to expel hot air. Consider using a venting kit suitable for non-window applications.
Press the "Timer" button on the control panel. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired time for the air conditioner to turn on or off. Confirm the setting by pressing the "Timer" button again.
Before storing, clean and dry the unit thoroughly. Coil the power cord and secure it with a cable tie. Cover the unit with a protective cover and store it in a dry, dust-free location.
