To replace the battery, open the battery compartment located at the back of the device using a small screwdriver. Remove the old battery and insert a new CR2032 lithium battery, ensuring the positive side faces up. Close the compartment securely.
If the screen is blank, first check if the battery is depleted and replace it if necessary. If the issue persists, try resetting the device. If the problem continues, it may require professional servicing.

The Casio SF-3990 Digital Diary has a memory capacity capable of storing thousands of entries, including contacts, schedules, and memos, depending on the length and complexity of the data.
To delete an entry, navigate to the desired data section (e.g., Tel, Memo), select the entry you wish to delete using the arrow keys, and press the 'Delete' button. Confirm the deletion by selecting 'Yes'.
If the buttons are unresponsive, check if the device needs a battery replacement. If the battery is fine, try resetting the device. If the problem persists, inspect for any debris around the buttons and clean carefully.
To protect your data, regularly back up important information manually. Additionally, keep the device in a safe place to prevent physical damage. Use the device’s password function to enhance data security.
