To change the battery, first turn off the calculator. Open the battery compartment located at the back, remove the old battery, and replace it with a new one. Ensure that the new battery is placed correctly with the positive side facing up. Close the compartment securely.
If the display is dim, check the battery and replace it if necessary. Ensure that the calculator is not exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can affect the display visibility. If the problem persists, reset the calculator.
To reset the calculator, press and hold the 'AC' button for a few seconds. This will clear any temporary data and reset the calculator to its default settings.
Ensure that the battery is installed correctly with the correct orientation. Check for any corrosion on the battery contacts and clean them if necessary. If the issue persists, the calculator may need professional servicing.
To calculate a percentage, enter the base number, press the multiplication ('x') key, enter the percentage, and then press the percentage ('%') key. For example, to find 20% of 150, input: 150 x 20 % =.
Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the exterior of the calculator. Avoid using any harsh chemicals or water directly on the device. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure the calculator is turned off and dry it immediately afterward.
The NJ-120D does not have a dedicated currency conversion feature. However, you can manually divide or multiply by the exchange rate to convert currencies.
To use memory functions, press 'M+' to add the displayed number to memory, 'M-' to subtract, 'MR' to recall the stored value, and 'MC' to clear the memory.
First, check if the calculator needs a new battery. If the buttons still do not respond, gently clean around them with a soft brush to remove any debris. Avoid using sharp objects that might damage the keys.
To extend battery life, turn off the calculator when not in use, avoid leaving it in extreme temperatures, and use the display light only when necessary. Regularly check and replace the battery to ensure optimal performance.
