To perform complex number calculations, switch the mode to CMPLX by pressing MODE until you reach the complex number mode. Use the designated keys for entering complex numbers, and refer to the manual for specific operations.
To reset the calculator, press SHIFT + 9 (CLR), then press 3 (All), followed by the = key. This will reset all settings and memory to default.
To change the battery, remove the screws on the back cover, replace the old battery with a new one of the same type (usually an AA or AAA battery), and reattach the cover securely.
Press MODE until the calculator is in SD mode for statistical calculations. Enter your data using the DATA key, and use the STAT key to access functions like standard deviation.
The fx100W allows you to calculate logarithms with base 10 and base e directly. For other bases, use the formula log_b(x) = log(x) / log(b) using either the log or ln keys.
To enter fractions, use the a b/c key. Enter the numerator, press the fraction key, and then enter the denominator. For mixed numbers, enter the whole number first.
If an error message appears, press AC to clear the error. Review your input for any mistakes, such as division by zero or syntax errors, and try again.
Press MODE repeatedly until you see DEG for degrees or RAD for radians, then select the desired option by pressing the corresponding number key.
While the fx100W does not have a specific equation solver, you can manually solve equations by using iterative substitution or by rearranging equations and using standard arithmetic operations.
The fx100W does not support matrix calculations directly. For matrix operations, you will need a calculator with matrix functionality, such as those in the Casio scientific calculator series that support matrices.
