To perform basic arithmetic operations, use the keypad to enter numbers and press the relevant operation keys (+, -, *, /). Press the '=' key to display the result.
To calculate fractions, use the 'a b/c' key to enter mixed numbers or fractions. Use the arrow keys to navigate between the numerator and denominator.
If an error message appears, press the 'AC' button to clear it. Verify your input for any mistakes and try the calculation again. Consult the manual for specific error message meanings.
Press the 'MODE' button to cycle through available modes such as COMP, STAT, and TABLE. Choose the desired mode by pressing the corresponding number.
To calculate standard deviation, switch to STAT mode using the 'MODE' button, input your data points, and use the 'SHIFT' and 'STAT' buttons to access statistical calculations.
To reset the calculator, press 'SHIFT', then 'CLR', and choose 'All' by pressing '3'. Confirm the reset by pressing '='. This will clear all data and settings.

The Casio fx-82ES Plus uses an AA battery. To replace it, open the battery compartment at the back, remove the old battery, and insert a new one, ensuring correct polarity.
