To perform basic arithmetic operations, use the numeric keypad to enter numbers and the respective operation keys (+, -, *, /). Press the '=' key to display the result.
For powers, use the '^' key, and for roots, use the '√' key or the 'x√' function for specific roots. Input the base number, press the operation key, and enter the exponent or root value.
To reset the Casio fx-500ES, press 'SHIFT', then 'CLR' (9), and choose 'All' by pressing '3'. Confirm by pressing the '=' key.
Enter the fraction using the fractional key (a b/c). To convert it to a decimal, press the 'SD' key.
Access the Equation mode by pressing 'MODE' and selecting 'EQN'. Choose the quadratic equation option and input the coefficients to find the solutions.
Press the 'MODE' button, then navigate to 'COMP' mode. Use the 'SD' key to toggle between fraction and decimal formats.
Switch to statistical mode by pressing 'MODE' and selecting 'STAT'. Enter data points, then use 'SHIFT' followed by '1' (STAT) to access statistical calculations like mean and standard deviation.
Ensure the calculator is off, then gently clean around the keys with compressed air. If the issue persists, replace the batteries and check for any visible damage.
