Canon EOS A2 Instruction Manual

To load film into the Canon EOS A2, open the back cover by pulling up the rewind knob. Insert the film cartridge into the chamber and pull the film leader across to the take-up spool. Align the film with the red mark and close the back cover. The camera will automatically advance the film to the first frame.
If the film is not advancing, check that the film is properly loaded and the back cover is securely closed. Verify that the batteries are charged and inserted correctly. If the issue persists, try resetting the camera by removing and reinserting the batteries.
To change the ISO settings, press the 'ISO' button on the top panel of the camera. Use the main dial to select the desired ISO speed, and then press the 'ISO' button again to confirm the setting.
Blurry photos can be caused by camera shake or incorrect focus. Use a tripod for stability and ensure that the autofocus is set correctly. Check the lens for smudges and clean if necessary. Adjust the shutter speed and aperture to suit the lighting conditions.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the lens and camera body with a microfiber cloth, using a blower to remove dust from the mirror and viewfinder, and checking the batteries. Store the camera in a dry, cool place and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture.
To manually rewind the film, press the film rewind button on the bottom of the camera. Then, turn the rewind knob clockwise until the film is fully rewound into the cartridge. Open the back cover to remove the film.
If the viewfinder display is not clear, adjust the diopter dial located next to the viewfinder to match your eyesight. Clean the viewfinder with a soft, dry cloth and ensure there are no obstructions in the viewfinder path.
To activate the self-timer, press the 'Drive' button and use the main dial to select the self-timer mode. Once selected, press the shutter button, and the camera will take a photo after a 10-second delay.
If the shutter button is not working, check the battery level and replace if necessary. Ensure the camera is not in playback mode. If the issue persists, remove the batteries and clean the battery contacts before reinserting them.
To set exposure compensation, press the 'Av +/-' button and use the main dial to adjust the compensation value. Positive values increase exposure, while negative values decrease it. Press the shutter button halfway to confirm the setting.
