Ensure dishes are not blocking the spray arms and that larger items do not prevent the detergent dispenser from opening. Place cups and small items on the top rack, and pots, pans, and plates on the bottom rack.
Check for clogs in the drain hose or garbage disposal connection. Also, inspect the filter for debris and clean it if necessary.
Remove the bottom rack to access the filter. Twist the filter counterclockwise to remove it, then rinse under running water to remove debris. Reinstall by twisting clockwise.
Use a high-quality, automatic dishwasher detergent. Avoid using regular dish soap as this can cause excessive suds and damage the appliance.
Run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar placed on the top rack. Regularly clean the filter and check for trapped food particles.
Ensure the door is fully closed and latched. Check the power connection and make sure the circuit breaker is not tripped. Verify that the water supply is turned on.
Use a rinse aid to help water sheet off dishes and prevent spots. Ensure you are using the correct amount of detergent and that the water temperature is hot enough.
Regularly clean the filter, check and clean spray arms, inspect the door seal for debris, and run a cleaning cycle monthly to maintain efficiency and hygiene.
Consult the user manual to find the water hardness settings in the control panel and adjust according to your local water quality for best washing results.
Ensure that the dishwasher salt compartment is filled if your model requires it. Check that the rinse aid dispenser is filled to prevent mineral deposits.
