To descale your Breville VCF125, fill the water tank with a mixture of water and descaling agent. Run the machine, allowing the solution to flow through. Rinse the machine by running two cycles with clean water.
Check if the machine is properly plugged into a functioning power outlet. Ensure that the power switch is turned on. If it still does not turn on, inspect the power cord for damage and consider consulting Breville support.
Detach the milk frother and rinse with warm water after each use. For a thorough clean, soak it in warm soapy water and use a soft brush to remove any milk residue.
For optimal performance, use a medium grind size similar to table salt. This allows for proper extraction and avoids clogging the filter.
Bitter coffee can result from over-extraction. Ensure you're using the correct grind size and not brewing for too long. Additionally, clean the machine regularly to avoid buildup that can affect taste.
First, brew a shot of espresso. Then, use the milk frother to steam milk until foamy. Pour the steamed milk over the espresso shot, holding back the foam with a spoon, and then top with foam.
To reset your Breville VCF125, hold the program button until the machine beeps. This will restore the original factory settings.
A weak or slow espresso flow could be due to a clogged filter or incorrect grind size. Clean the filter and ensure you're using a consistent medium grind.
Store coffee beans in an airtight container in a cool, dark place to preserve freshness. Avoid refrigeration as this can introduce moisture that may spoil the beans.
Clean the drip tray, water tank, and milk frother after each use. Descale the machine every 2-3 months, depending on usage and water hardness.
