Ensure that dishes are not overcrowded and that water can reach all surfaces. Place larger items at the sides and back, and smaller items in the middle. Avoid blocking the spray arms.
Check if the drain hose is kinked or clogged. Ensure that the sink drain is not blocked. Clean the filter and sump area inside the dishwasher.
Remove the lower rack and locate the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher. Twist to unlock and remove it. Rinse under running water to remove debris. Reinstall the filter securely.
Ensure the door is fully closed and latched. Check that the appliance is plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Confirm that the water supply is turned on.
To reset the dishwasher, turn it off and unplug it for a few minutes. Plug it back in and restart the cycle. This can help clear some errors.
Use a high-quality dishwasher detergent in the form of powder, gel, or tablets. Avoid using dish soap, as it can cause excessive suds.
The white residue may be due to hard water. Use a rinse aid and consider using a dishwasher cleaner to remove limescale and mineral deposits.
Clean the filter and spray arms monthly. Wipe down the door seals regularly and run a dishwasher cleaner through an empty cycle every few months.
Regularly clean the filter and remove food debris from the bottom of the dishwasher. Leave the door slightly ajar between washes to allow air circulation.
Ensure the spray arms are not clogged and can rotate freely. Check that the water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C) and use the appropriate amount of detergent.
