To start a wash cycle, load your dishes, add detergent, close the door, select your desired wash program using the control panel, and press the start button.
If the dishwasher is not draining, check the filter and drain hose for blockages. Ensure that the drain hose is not kinked and the sink's drain is clear.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack, twist the cylindrical filter counterclockwise, lift it out, and rinse it under running water. Replace it by aligning it and twisting it clockwise.
Unusual noises can be caused by improperly loaded dishes, loose items in the dishwasher, or debris in the spray arms. Ensure dishes are securely loaded and check for any obstructions.
To improve drying, ensure you're using a rinse aid, select a drying option if available, and open the door slightly after the cycle to allow steam to escape.
Ensure the spray arms are not obstructed, use the correct amount of detergent, check water temperature (at least 120°F/49°C), and avoid overloading the dishwasher.
To reset the dishwasher, turn off the power at the circuit breaker or unplug it for a few minutes, then restore power and restart the dishwasher.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the filter, checking and clearing spray arms, wiping the door gasket, and running an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner.
Spots can be caused by hard water. Use a rinse aid to help prevent spots and ensure you're using a detergent designed for hard water conditions.
Place larger items like pots and pans on the bottom rack, and smaller items like glasses and cups on the top rack. Ensure dishes do not block the spray arms and that they are securely loaded.
