To clean the Brandt IF-40HAS Hob, first ensure it is turned off and completely cool. Use a soft cloth or sponge with warm soapy water to wipe the surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the surface. For tough stains, a specialized ceramic hob cleaner can be used.
If the hob does not power on, check that it is securely plugged into the outlet and that the outlet is functioning by testing another device. Ensure the circuit breaker hasn’t tripped. If the issue persists, consult the user manual or contact a qualified technician.
To lock the controls, press and hold the lock button (usually symbolized by a key icon) for a few seconds until the lock indicator appears on the display. This will prevent any accidental changes to the settings.
The Brandt IF-40HAS Hob is compatible with cookware made from magnetic materials, such as cast iron or stainless steel. To check compatibility, see if a magnet sticks to the bottom of the cookware. Avoid using glass, ceramic, or aluminum pots and pans.
To reset the hob, turn it off and unplug it from the power source for at least 30 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the issue is resolved. If problems persist, refer to the troubleshooting section of the user manual.
A buzzing sound during operation is normal and is caused by the induction process. If the noise is excessive or unusual, check that the cookware is compatible and properly centered on the cooking zone.
Regularly clean the hob after each use to prevent buildup of food residues. Use the appropriate cookware to ensure efficient heat transfer. Periodically check the power cord and plug for any signs of wear or damage.
It is advisable to avoid using the hob during power fluctuations to prevent potential damage to the electronic components. Wait until the power supply stabilizes before operating the hob.
To activate the timer, select the cooking zone and set the desired power level. Press the timer button and use the control to set the time. The hob will automatically turn off the selected zone when the time expires.
The Brandt IF-40HAS Hob is equipped with an automatic overheating protection system. However, to prevent overheating, use the appropriate power settings and ensure cookware is correctly positioned on the cooking zone.
