To start a drying cycle, load your laundry into the drum, close the door securely, select the desired program using the program selector knob, and press the start button. Ensure that the water tank is empty and the lint filter is clean before starting.
If the dryer does not start, check if it is properly plugged in and if the circuit breaker has not tripped. Ensure the door is fully closed, as the dryer will not start if the door is ajar. Additionally, verify that the start button has been pressed.
To clean the lint filter, open the dryer door and locate the filter, which is usually at the bottom of the door opening. Pull it out, remove any lint by hand or with a soft brush, and reposition it securely before closing the door.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the lint filter after every use, emptying the water tank if it's a condenser model, and checking the vent hose for obstructions. Once a year, inspect the drum and seals for wear.
Excessive noise can be caused by objects caught in the drum or loose items inside the dryer. Ensure the dryer is on a level surface. If the noise persists, contact a professional technician to inspect the drum bearings or other internal components.
If the dryer is taking longer to dry, check if the lint filter and exhaust vent are clean and unobstructed. Ensure the selected drying program matches the load type. If issues persist, the heating element or thermostat may need servicing.
To prevent wrinkles, do not overload the dryer and promptly remove clothes after the cycle ends. Use the anti-crease function if available, and consider using fabric softeners or dryer sheets.
Common error codes include E1 for a door lock issue, E2 for a heating problem, and E3 indicating a sensor fault. Refer to the user manual for a complete list and troubleshooting steps.
Drying shoes in the dryer is not recommended as it can damage the drum and shoes. Use a shoe rack accessory if available and recommended by the manufacturer, or air-dry them instead.
To activate the child lock, press and hold the designated child lock button or combination of buttons for a few seconds, as specified in the user manual. This prevents accidental changes to the settings during operation.
