To turn on the Brandt BPE6410B hob, press the power button located on the control panel. Once the hob is powered on, select the desired cooking zone and adjust the heat setting using the touch controls.
If the hob does not heat up, ensure that it is properly connected to the power supply. Check the circuit breaker and fuse box to make sure there are no tripped breakers or blown fuses. If the problem persists, contact Brandt customer support.
To clean the hob, wait until it cools down completely. Use a soft cloth with mild detergent and water to wipe the surface. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or sponges as they can scratch the glass surface.
The error code "E2" indicates that the hob is overheating. Turn off the hob and allow it to cool down before attempting to use it again. Ensure that the ventilation around the hob is adequate and not obstructed.
The Brandt BPE6410B hob is designed for use with induction-compatible cookware. Ensure that your pots and pans have a flat, magnetic base. If a magnet sticks to the bottom, it is suitable for use on an induction hob.
To lock the controls, press and hold the lock button on the control panel for a few seconds until the lock indicator appears. This feature is useful for preventing accidental changes to the settings.
If the touch controls are unresponsive, ensure that the surface is clean and dry. Sometimes moisture or dirt can interfere with the sensors. If the issue persists, try resetting the hob by turning off the power supply for a few minutes.
To set a timer, select the cooking zone you want to time and press the timer button. Use the plus and minus buttons to set the desired time. The hob will automatically turn off the zone when the timer reaches zero.
Regular cleaning after each use is crucial. Avoid dragging cookware across the surface to prevent scratches. Periodically check and clean the ventilation areas to ensure proper airflow. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for maintenance.
To reset the hob, turn off the power supply at the circuit breaker for a few minutes, then turn it back on. This will reset the electronic controls to their default settings.
