To turn on the Brandt 2FI4EA Hob, press the power button located on the control panel. Once the hob is on, select the desired cooking zone and set the temperature using the touch controls.
To clean the hob, wait until it has cooled down. Use a soft cloth or sponge with a mild detergent to wipe the surface. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads as they may damage the glass surface.
If the hob does not heat up, ensure it is properly connected to the power supply. Check if the child lock is enabled, and if it is, disable it. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact Brandt customer support.
To activate the child lock, press and hold the lock button on the control panel for a few seconds until you see a lock symbol on the display. This will prevent accidental operation.
The clicking noise is normal and is caused by the internal components adjusting to maintain the set temperature. If the noise is excessively loud or irregular, contact customer support for assistance.
After a power failure, simply turn off the hob and disconnect it from the power supply for a few minutes. Reconnect it and turn it on to reset. Adjust the settings as needed.
The hob is compatible with flat-bottomed cookware made of ferrous materials such as cast iron or stainless steel. Ensure the base of the cookware matches the size of the cooking zone.
To prevent scratches, avoid sliding cookware across the hob. Always lift pots and pans when moving them. Use cookware with clean and smooth bottoms.
Regularly clean the hob after each use to prevent buildup. Check and clean the filters if applicable, and inspect the power cord for any signs of damage. Service the hob annually by a qualified technician.
To unlock the hob, press and hold the lock button until the lock symbol disappears from the display. This usually takes a few seconds.
