To unlock the Brandt 2CFI-4GBUT hob, press and hold the lock key for a few seconds until the lock indicator light turns off.
Ensure the hob is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker is not tripped. Also, check if the child lock feature is activated, as it can prevent the hob from heating.
Use a soft cloth or sponge with a mild detergent to clean the ceramic surface. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can damage the surface.
Use cookware with smooth, flat bottoms and avoid sliding pots and pans across the surface. Cleaning the hob regularly will also help prevent buildup that can cause scratches.
To reset the hob after a power outage, simply turn off the appliance for a few minutes and then switch it back on. This should reset any temporary issues.
Some buzzing noise is normal due to the induction process. However, if the noise is excessive, ensure that the cookware is compatible and that the base is flat and covers the heating zone properly.
The residual heat indicator is activated automatically. It will display an 'H' on the control panel if the surface is still hot after cooking.
Use cookware that is specifically marked as compatible with induction hobs. Typically, cookware with a magnetic base made of stainless steel or cast iron is suitable.
To improve energy efficiency, match pot size to the cooking zone, use lids to retain heat, and turn off the hob shortly before cooking is finished to utilize residual heat.
Ensure the hob is clean and dry, as moisture can affect the touch controls. If the issue persists, try resetting the hob by turning it off and on again.
