To assemble the trimmer, start by attaching the handle to the main shaft. Then, connect the trimmer head by aligning it with the shaft and tightening it securely. Finally, insert the 18V battery into the designated compartment until it clicks into place.
For edging, hold the trimmer such that the cutting line is parallel to the ground. Walk slowly along the edge of the area you want to trim, allowing the line to cut through the grass evenly.
First, check if the battery is fully charged and properly inserted. Ensure the safety switch is engaged. If the trimmer still doesn't start, inspect the connections for any debris or damage.
Regularly check the cutting line for wear and replace it when necessary. Ensure the line is properly wound onto the spool and avoid using the trimmer on hard surfaces to prevent excessive wear.
If the line breaks frequently, ensure you are using the correct type and size of line. Avoid hitting hard objects, and adjust the trimmer head to the correct height to prevent the line from striking the ground.
To replace the spool, turn off the trimmer and remove the battery. Press the tabs on the spool cover to release it, then remove the old spool. Insert the new spool, thread the line through the eyelets, and snap the cover back into place.
Use the Bosch charger provided with your trimmer. Insert the battery into the charger and plug it into a standard outlet. The charger will indicate when the battery is fully charged. Avoid overcharging by removing the battery once fully charged.
To extend battery life, charge the battery only when it's almost depleted and remove it from the charger once fully charged. Store the battery in a cool, dry place and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an imbalanced or damaged trimmer head. Check for debris caught in the head and remove it. If the problem persists, inspect the trimmer head for damage and replace any broken parts.
To clean the trimmer, remove the battery and use a damp cloth to wipe down the exterior. Avoid using water directly on the motor or electrical components. Clean the trimmer head and spool area to remove grass clippings and debris.
