To descale your TASSIMO TAS1401CH, fill the water tank with descaling solution and water according to the instructions. Insert the Service T DISC and place a container under the spout. Press the start button for 5 seconds and let the machine run the descaling cycle. Rinse the machine with clean water afterwards.
Ensure the water tank is full and properly seated. Check if the T DISC is inserted correctly and the machine's lid is closed securely. If the problem persists, try cleaning the barcode scanner and restarting the machine.
Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. Remove and wash the drip tray, cup stand, and water tank with warm soapy water. Use the Service T DISC for a cleaning cycle once a week or after 200 uses.
The blinking red light indicates a need for descaling. Follow the descaling instructions provided in the manual to ensure optimal performance.
It's recommended to use fresh, cold water. Avoid using distilled or mineral-rich water as it might affect the taste of your coffee and the machine's performance.
The TASSIMO TAS1401CH is designed to work with TASSIMO T DISCs. Using third-party pods might not work properly and could damage the machine.
To reset the machine, unplug it from the power source and wait for 5 minutes. Plug it back in and try running a cleaning cycle with the Service T DISC.
Ensure the machine is preheated properly. If the issue persists, descale the machine as limescale buildup can affect the heating element.
Descaling should be done every three months or when the red light indicator turns on, whichever comes first.
Some noise is normal, but if it seems excessive, check for any obstructions in the water tank or brewing unit. Ensure all parts are seated correctly and descale the machine if necessary.
