For optimum results, ll the tank only with cool, fresh, non-carbonated water each day. Do not use chemically softened water. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in operation!

The appliance may only be connected to a power supply with alternating current via a correctly installed socket with earthing. Ensure that the protective conductor system of the domestic supply has been correctly installed.
Before cleaning the appliance, pull out the mains plug.
Only use your TASSIMO appliance if the power cable and appliance show no signs of damage.
Disconnect the appliance from the mains as soon as a fault is detected.
Any repairs, such asreplacing a damaged power cable, may only be carried out by our Customer Services team in order to avoid potential danger.
Intended use Check the appliance after unpacking it. Do not connect the appliance if it has been damaged in transit. This appliance is intended for domestic use only. Only use the appliance indoors at room temperature and up to 2000 m above sea level. Important safety information Please read parts 1 and 2 of these manuals carefully before using the product and keep them for future reference. Pass them on to all users. This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and older and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or who lack experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have been given instruction in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the dangers involved. Never attempt to open the brewing unit during operation. Please note that any escaping liquids will be very hot. The T DISC, the piercing unit and the beverage outlet may be very hot immediately after brewing. Allow to cool rst.
Do not use T DISCs that are damaged.
Only use each T DISC once. After the use the heating element surfaces can be subjected to residual heat.
Freshly prepared beverages are very hot. Leave to cool a little if necessary. W Risk of re!
The appliance gets hot. Never operate the appliance in a cupboard. W Risk of injury!
A misuse of the appliance can potentially lead to injury.
Under no circumstances you should drink the descaling liquid.
The T DISC piercing unit has sharp cutting edges. Be careful of your ngers when inserting the T DISC or cleaning it. W Risk of su ocation!

magnetism! The appliance contains permanent magnets. They may a ect electronic implants, e.g. pacemakers or insulin pumps. Persons with electronic implants must stand at least 10 cm away from the appliance.
The minimum distance of 10 cm must also be observed for the water tank when removed.

Troubleshooting
The following table contains solutions to problems or faults which may occur during operation of the appliance and that can be easily rectified at home. If you are not satisfied with the solutions provided here, please contact our Customer Service department. Further customer service information can also be found online: www.tassimo.com www.bosch-home.com Problem Cause Solution No LED is lit. The appliance is in idle mode. Press Start/Stop button. The appliance is not working and none of the display elements are lighting.
The appliance has no power supply.
Check to see whether the appliance is connected to the mains.
The brewing starts, however there is no beverage dispensed.
The water tank is not inserted correctly.
Check that the water tank is correctly inserted.
The water tank was removed during the brewing stage or there is air in the system.
Start the cleaning process with the orange Service T DISC. Please refer here to the section First Time Use, Steps 214.
The float in the water tank is stuck.
Clean the water tank and free the float.
The brewing will not start
and/or
the status display LED lights up red.
No T DISC inserted. Check that a T DISC has been inserted. The appliance does not recognise the T DISC bar code. The displays/buttons for drink intensity, drink temperature and drink size are flashing.
Clean the T DISC reading window with a soft, damp cloth. Smooth out the foil of the T DISC with your finger so that the bar code can be read. Use a new T DISC. If the problem persists, contact the TASSIMO careline.
The brewing unit is not closed properly.
Clean the brewing unit with a soft, damp cloth, paying particular attention to the lid area.
The appliance was not plugged in when the T DISC was inserted.
Check that the appliance is plugged into the power supply before inserting the T DISC.
The brewing unit cannot be closed.
The piercing unit and/or the T DISC support have not been correctly inserted.
Press the piercing unit into its holder using both thumbs and check the position of the T DISC support.
The T DISC has not been correctly inserted.
Replace the damaged T DISC with a new one. Place the T DISC with the printed side facing downwards so that the tab is resting in the intended slot.
The brewing unit is gummed up or soiled.
Clean the brewing unit with a soft, damp cloth, paying particular attention to the lid area.
When closing the brewing unit, a slight resistance must be overcome.
Press the lid down until it audibly clicks into place.

Problem Cause Solution The brewing unit cannot be opened.
The brewing unit is still locked.
Only open the brewing unit when the status display has stopped flashing and remains lit continuously. Unplug the mains plug. If the brewing unit stays locked, contact the TASSIMO careline.
Water is dripping from the brewing unit.
The T DISC is damaged or leaky. The T DISC has not been pierced correctly.
Do not use T DISCs that are damaged. Only use each T DISC once. Wait until the brewing stage has come to an end and the appliance has cooled down. Remove the T DISC and clean the brewing unit. Please refer here to the section Cleaning.
The piercing unit has not been inserted correctly.
Press the piercing unit into its holder using both thumbs (until an audible click is heard).
The quality of the crema has deteriorated.
The beverage outlet is sticky or dirty.
Clean the beverage outlet. Please refer here to the section Cleaning. Clean the brewing unit with the orange Service T DISC. Please refer here to the section Cleaning.
Build-up of limescale in the appliance.
Descale the appliance. Please refer here to the section Descaling. Do not use descaling agent with phosphoric acid.
On the surface below the cup stand there is water.
This is condensation. Condensation may appear and is not caused by any fault with the appliance. Wipe the water away with a cloth.
The beverage quantity does not meet your requirements.
The T DISC bar code provides the recommended volume for every beverage selected. This volume can also be adapted to personal requirements.
Reduced quantity: During the brewing process, press the Start/Stop button to interrupt this stage. Increased quantity: Press and hold the Start/Stop button until the required beverage quantity has been reached.
Build-up of limescale in the appliance could cause reduced quantity.
Descale the appliance. Please refer here to the section Descaling. Do not use descaling agent with phosphoric acid.
Not enough water in the water tank.
Fill up the tank after making a drink and press the Start / Stop button. Your drink will then be brewed ready for you.

Descaling tabs are required.
LED R (Fill water tank) lights up.
There is not enough water in the water tank.
Fill the tank with cold, fresh water as far as the a mark. Reinsert the water tank.
LED R (Fill water tank) lights up even though there is enough water in the water tank.
The float in the water tank is stuck.
Clean the water tank and free the float.
The water tank is not inserted correctly.
Check that the water tank is correctly inserted.
LED Q (Descale) and LED R (Fill water tank) light up simultaneously and brewing is not possible.
There is a fault on the machine.
Unplug the mains plug. Please contact the TASSIMO careline.
LED Q (Descale) and the status display flash simultaneously
The descaling process is running.
Wait until the descaling process is complete.
LED Q (Descale) lights up.
The appliance needs to be descaled.
Descale the appliance. Please refer here to the section Descaling. Do not use descaling agent with phosphoric acid.
LED Q (Descale) lights up even though decalcified water has been used.
Even decalcified water contains low amounts of calcium carbonate.
Descale the appliance. Please refer here to the section Descaling. Do not use descaling agent with phosphoric acid.
LED Q (Descale) flashes.
Appliance must be descaled urgently.
Descale the appliance at once. Please refer here to the section Descaling. Do not use descaling agent with phosphoric acid.
All LEDs flashing. There is a problem with the voltage of the power supply.
Unplug the appliance and then plug back in again. If the problem persists for a lengthy period, have the voltage of your power supply checked by an electrician.

Kinder unter 8 Jahren sind vom Gert und der Anschlussleitung fernzuhalten und drfen das Gert nicht bedienen. Fllen Sie tglich ausschlielich frisches, kaltes Wasser (kein Mineral wasser mit Kohlensure) in den Wassertank. Verwenden Sie kein chemisch entkalktes Wasser. Das Gert whrend des Betriebs stets beaufsichtigen.
W Stromschlaggefahr! Betreiben und schlieen Sie das Gert nur gem den Angaben auf dem Typen- schild an.
Das Gert darf nur ber eine vorschriftsmig installierte Steckdose mit Erdung an ein Stromnetz mit Wechsel- strom angeschlossen wer- den. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Schutzleitersystem der elektrischen Hausinstallation vorschriftsmig installiert ist.
Ziehen Sie vor der Reinigung des Gerts den Netzstecker.
Benutzen Sie Ihr TASSIMO Gert nur, wenn Netz- kabel und Gert keine Beschdigungen aufweisen.
Ziehen Sie im Fehlerfall sofort den Netzstecker.
Reparaturen an dem Gert, wie z.B. eine beschdigte Zuleitung auswechseln, dr- fen Sie nur durch unseren
Bestimmungsgemer Gebrauch Das Gert nach dem Aus- packen prfen. Bei einem Transport schaden nicht anschlieen. Dieses Gert ist nur fr den privaten Haushalt und das husliche Umfeld bestimmt. Das Gert nur in Innenrumen bei Raumtemperatur und bis zu 2000 m ber Meereshhe verwenden. Wichtige Sicherheitshinweise Lesen Sie die Gebrauchs- anleitungen Teil 1 und 2 sorgfltig durch, handeln danach und bewahren die Anleitungen auf. Geben Sie sie an alle Benutzer weiter. Versuchen Sie nie, das Brhsystem whrend des Betriebs zu nen. Beach ten Sie, dass austretende Flssig keiten sehr hei sind. Die T DISC, die Stanzvor richtung und der Getrnke- auslauf knnen unmittelbar nach dem Brhvorgang sehr hei sein. Zuerst abkhlen lassen.
Benutzen Sie keine besch- digten T DISCs.
Benutzen Sie T DISCs nur einmal.
Nach dem Gebrauch knnen die Ober chen noch einige Zeit hei sein.
Frisch zubereitete Getrnke sind sehr hei. Bei Bedarf etwas abkhlen lassen. W Brandgefahr!
Das Gert wird hei. Das Gert nie in einem Schrank betreiben.
W Verletzungsgefahr! Fehlanwendung des Gertes kann zu Verletzungen fhren.
Trinken Sie keinesfalls die Entkalkungs ssigkeit.
Die T DISC-Stanzvorrichtung hat scharfe Schneiden. Beim Einlegen der T DISC oder dem Reinigen auf die Finger achten. W Erstickungsgefahr!
Kinder nicht mit Verpackungs material spielen lassen.
Kleinteile sicher aufbewah- ren, sie knnen verschluckt werden. W Achtung!
Reinigung von Ober chen, die mit Nahrungsmitteln in Berhrung kommen! Die speziellen Hinweise zur Reinigung in den Bildanlei- tungen sind zu beachten. W Warnung Gefahr durch
Magnetismus! Das Gert enthlt Permanentmagnete. Diese knnen elektronische Implantate, z.B. Herzschrittmacher oder Insulinpumpen beein ussen. Personen mit elektronischen Implantaten mssen 10 cm Mindestabstand zum Gert einhalten.
Den Mindestabstand von 10 cm auch zum entnomme nen Wassertank einhalten.

Ruhemodus. Start/Stopp Taste drcken.
Das Gert funktioniert nicht, es leuchtet keines der Anzeigeelemente (LEDs) auf.
Das Gert hat keine Stromversorgung.
Kontrollieren Sie, ob das Gert an die Stromversorgung angeschlossen ist.
Die Brhung wird gestartet, es wird jedoch kein Getrnk ausgegeben.
Der Wassertank ist nicht richtig eingesetzt.
berprfen Sie, ob der Wassertank richtig eingesetzt ist. Drcken Sie den Wassertank bis zum Anschlag in das Gert.
Der Wassertank wurde whrend des Brhvorgangs entnommen oder im System befindet sich Luft.
Starten Sie einen Reinigungsvorgang mit der orangen Service T DISC. Sehen Sie hierzu das Kapitel Inbetriebnahme, Schritte 214.
Der Schwimmer im Wassertank ist verklemmt.
Reinigen Sie den Wassertank und machen Sie den Schwimmer gangbar.
Die Brhung kann nicht gestartet werden
und /oder
die LED der Statusanzeige leuchtet rot.
Keine T DISC eingelegt.
berprfen Sie, ob eine T DISC eingelegt wurde.
Der Strichcode der eingelegten T DISC wird nicht erkannt.
Subern Sie das T DISC Lesefenster mit einem weichen, feuchten Tuch. Streichen Sie mit dem Finger die Folie der T DISC glatt, damit der Strichcode gelesen werden kann. Verwenden Sie eine neue T DISC. Lsst sich das Problem nicht beheben, kontaktieren Sie die TASSIMO Infoline.
Das Brhsystem ist nicht richtig verschlossen.
Subern Sie das Brhsystem mit einem weichen, feuchten Tuch, vor allem im Bereich des Verschlusses.
Das Gert war beim Einlegen der T DISC nicht eingesteckt.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gert vor dem Einlegen der T DISC an die Strom versorgung angeschlossen ist.

Problem Ursache Abhilfe Das Brhsystem lsst sich nicht schlieen.
Die Stanzvorrichtung und/oder der T DISC Trger sind nicht richtig eingesetzt.
Drcken Sie die Stanzvorrichtung mit beiden Daumen in ihre Halterung und kontrollieren Sie die Position des T DISC Trgers.
Die T DISC ist nicht richtig eingelegt.
Ersetzen Sie eine beschdigte T DISC durch eine neue. Legen Sie die T DISC mit der bedruckten Seite nach unten so ein, dass die Lasche in der dafr vorgesehenen Aussparung liegt.
Das Brhsystem ist verklebt oder verschmutzt.
Subern Sie das Brhsystem mit einem weichen, feuchten Tuch, vor allem im Bereich des Verschlusses.
Beim Schlieen des Brhsystems muss ein geringer Widerstand berwunden werden.
Drcken Sie den Verschluss nach unten, bis dieser hrbar einrastet.
Das Brhsystem lsst sich nicht ffnen.
Das Brhsystem ist noch verriegelt.
ffnen Sie das Brhsystem erst, wenn die Statusanzeige aufhrt zu blinken und permanent leuchtet. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker. Bleibt das Brhsystem weiterhin verschlossen, kontaktieren Sie die TASSIMO Infoline.
Aus dem Brhsystem tropft Wasser.
Die T DISC ist beschdigt oder undicht. Die T DISC ist nicht korrekt gestanzt worden.
Benutzen Sie keine beschdigten T DISCs. Benutzen Sie T DISCs nur einmal. Warten Sie, bis der Brhvorgang beendet und das Gert abgekhlt ist. Entfernen Sie die T DISC und reinigen Sie das Brhsystem. Sehen Sie hierzu das Kapitel Reinigen.
Die Stanzvorrichtung ist nicht richtig eingesetzt.
Drcken Sie mit beiden Daumen die Stanz- vorrichtung in ihre Halterung (hrbarer Klick).
Die Crema hat sich verschlechtert.
Der Getrnkeauslauf ist verklebt oder verschmutzt.
Reinigen Sie den Getrnkeauslauf. Sehen Sie hierzu das Kapitel Reinigen. Reinigen Sie das Brhsystem mit der orangen Service T DISC. Sehen Sie hierzu das Kapitel Reinigen.
Das Gert ist verkalkt. Entkalken Sie das Gert. Sehen Sie hierzu das Kapitel Entkalken. Keine Entkalkungsmittel mit Phosphorsure verwenden.
Auf der Flche unter dem Tassenpodest befindet sich Wasser.
Es handelt sich um Kondensationswasser.
Kondensation kann entstehen und ist kein Fehler. Wischen Sie das Wasser mit einem Tuch ab.

Problem Ursache Abhilfe Das Getrnkevolumen entspricht nicht Ihren Wnschen.
Der Strichcode der T DISC gibt fr jedes Getrnk das optimale Getrnkevolumen vor. Dieser Wert kann auch individuell angepasst werden.
Weniger Volumen: Drcken Sie whrend der Brhung die Start/Stopp Taste um den Brhvorgang abzubrechen. Mehr Volumen: Drcken und halten Sie die Start/Stopp Taste bis das gewnschte Volumen erreicht ist.
Kalkablagerungen im Gert knnen zu reduziertem Getrnke- volumen fhren.
Entkalken Sie das Gert. Sehen Sie hierzu das Kapitel Entkalken.
Nicht genug Wasser im Wassertank.
Fllen Sie den Tank nach der Getrnke- zubereitung auf und drcken Sie die Start/Stopp Taste. Ihr Getrnk wird anschlieend fertig gebrht.
Die orange Service T DISC ist beschdigt oder verloren worden.

Fllen Sie frisches, kaltes Wasser bis zur Markierung a ein. Setzen Sie den Wassertank wieder ein.
Die LED R (Wassertank fllen) leuchtet, obwohl sich genug Wasser im Wassertank befindet.
Der Schwimmer im Wassertank ist verklemmt.
Reinigen Sie den Wassertank und machen Sie den Schwimmer gangbar.
Der Wassertank ist nicht richtig eingesetzt.
berprfen Sie, ob der Wassertank richtig eingesetzt ist. Drcken Sie den Wassertank bis zum Anschlag in das Gert.
Die LED Q (Entkalken) und die LED R (Wassertank fllen) leuchten gleichzeitig und keine Brhung ist mglich.

Le nettoyage et lentretien incombant lutilisateur ne doivent pas tre e ectus par des enfants sauf sils ont 8 ans ou plus et sont surveills. Les enfants de moins de 8 ans doivent tre tenus loigns de lappareil et du cordon dali- mentation et ne doivent pas utiliser lappareil. Remplissez tous les jours uni- quement avec de leau fraiche et froide (pas deau minrale gazeuse). Nutilisez pas de leau dcalci- e chimiquement. Surveiller toujours lappareil pendant son fonctionnement!
W Risque de choc lectrique! Utilisez et branchez lappa- reil uniquement conform- ment aux indications sur la plaque signaltique.

Utilisez votre appareil TASSIMO uniquement si le cble secteur et lappa- reil ne prsentent aucun endommagement.
En cas de dfaut, dbran- chez immdiatement la prise secteur.
Les rparations sur lappa- reil telles que le remplace- ment dun cordon endom- mag ne doivent tre e ec tues que par notre SAV a n dliminer tout danger.
Ne plongez jamais lappareil ou le cble secteur dans leau.
Empchez que du liquide ne se renverse sur le connecteur.
Les instructions de net- toyage spciales gurant dans les notices sont respecter. W Risque de brlure!
Nessayez jamais douvrir le systme de percolation pendant quil est en service. Veuillez considrer que les liquides qui scoulent de lappareil sont trs chauds. Aprs lopration de percolation, le T DISC, la couronne de perage et le bec verseur peuvent tre brlants. Laissez-les dabord refroidir.
Nutilisez pas de T DISC endommags.
Utilisez chaque T DISC quune seule fois.
Les surfaces peuvent rester chaudes pendant un certain temps aprs lutilisation de lappareil.
Les boissons frache- ment prpares sont trs chaudes. Si ncessaire, les laisser un peu refroidir. W Risque dincendie!
Lappareil devient chaud. Ne pas exploiter lappareil dans une armoire. W Risque de blessure!
Lutilisation inapproprie de la machine peut entraner des blessures.
Ne buvez en aucun cas le liquide de dtartrage.
La couronne de perage du T DISC possde des bords tranchants. Faire attention aux doigts lors de linsertion ou du nettoyage du T DISC. W Risque dtou ement!
Ne pas laisser les enfants jouer avec les emballages.
Rangez les petites pices de manire sre, elles pour- raient tre avales. W Attention!

Le flotteur dans le rservoir deau est bloqu.
Nettoyez le rservoir deau et dcoincez le flotteur.
La percolation ne peut pas tre dmarre.

Aucun T DISC mis en place.
Vrifiez, si un T DISC a t mis en place.
Le code-barre du T DISC mis en place nest pas reconnu. Tous les affichages / toutes les touches pour lintensit, la temprature et la taille de la boisson clignotent.
Nettoyez la fentre de lecture du T DISC avec un chiffon doux et humide. Lissez le film du T DISC avec le doigt pour que le code-barre puisse tre lu. Utilisez un nouveau T DISC. Si vous ne pouvez pas remdier au problme, veuillez contacter TASSIMO Infoline.
Le systme de percolation nest pas ferm correctement.
Nettoyez le systme de percolation avec un chiffon doux et humide, tout particulirement au niveau du verrouillage.
Lappareil ntait pas raccord au secteur lorsque vous avez insr le T DISC.
Assurez-vous que lappareil est bien raccord au secteur avant linsertion du T DISC.

Problme Cause Remde Il est impossible de fermer le systme de percolation.
La couronne de perage et/ou le support T DISC ne sont pas mis en place correctement.
Enfoncez laide des deux pouces la couronne de perage dans son support et vrifiez la position du support T DISC.
Le T DISC nest pas mis en place correctement.
Remplacez le T DISC endommag par un nouveau. Mettez le T DISC en place avec le ct imprim orient vers le bas et veillez ce que la languette se trouve dans lemplacement prvu cet effet.
Le systme de percolation est encrass ou obstru.
Nettoyez le systme de percolation avec un chiffon doux et humide, tout particulirement au niveau du verrouillage.
La lgre rsistance qui se fait sentir la fermeture du systme de percolation doit tre surmonte.
Poussez le verrouillage vers le bas jusqu ce quil senclenche de manire audible.
Il est impossible douvrir le systme de percolation.
Le systme de percolation est encore verrouill.
Ouvrez le systme de percolation uniquement lorsque la LED dtat ne clignote plus et reste allume en continu. Dbranchez la fiche secteur. Si le systme de percolation demeure verrouill, contactez TASSIMO Infoline.
Des gouttes deau sortent du systme de percolation.
Le T DISC est endommag ou prsente une fuite. Le T DISC na pas t perfor correctement.
Nutilisez pas de T DISC endommags. Utilisez chaque T DISC quune seule fois. Attendez jusqu ce que le processus de percolation soit termin et laissez refroidir lappareil. Retirez le T DISC et nettoyez le systme de percolation. Pour cela, reportez- vous au chapitre Nettoyage.
La couronne de perage nest pas place correctement.
Enfoncez laide des deux pouces la couronne de perage dans son support (clic audible).
La qualit de la crme sest dgrade.
Le bec verseur est collant ou sale.
Nettoyez le bec verseur. Pour cela, reportez-vous au chapitre Nettoyage. Nettoyez le systme de percolation laide du T DISC de Service orange. Pour cela, reportez-vous au chapitre Nettoyage.
La machine est entartre.
Dtartrez lappareil. Pour cela, reportez-vous au chapitre Dtartrage. Ne pas utiliser de dtartrant contenant de l'acide phosphorique.
Il y a de leau sur la surface en dessous du support de tasse.
Il sagit deau de condensation.
Il peut y avoir de la condensation et ceci nest pas une dfaillance. Essuyez leau avec un chiffon.

Problme Cause Remde Le volume de boisson ne correspond pas vos attentes.
Le code-barre du T DISC fixe le volume de boisson optimal pour chaque boisson. Il est galement possible dadapter individuellement cette valeur.
Volume moins important: pendant la percolation, appuyez sur la touche Dpart/Arrt pour interrompre le processus de percolation. Volume plus important: appuyez sur la touche Dpart/Arrt jusqu ce que le volume souhait soit atteint.
Les dpts de calcaire dans lappareil peuvent tre la cause dun volume de boisson rduit.
Dtartrez lappareil. Pour cela, reportez-vous au chapitre Dtartrage. Ne pas utiliser de dtartrant contenant de l'acide phosphorique.
Rservoir deau pas assez rempli.
Remplissez le rservoir aprs la prparation de la boisson, puis appuyez sur la touche Dmarrage / Arrt. La prparation de votre boisson sera ensuite termine.
Le T DISC de service orange a t endommag ou perdu.

Il ny a pas assez deau dans le rservoir deau.
Remplissez le rservoir jusquau repre a avec de leau fraiche et froide. Remettez le rservoir deau en place.
La LED R (Remplir le rservoir deau) est allum alors que le rservoir contient encore suffisamment deau.
Le flotteur dans le rservoir deau est bloqu.
Nettoyez le rservoir deau et dcoincez le flotteur.
Le rservoir deau nest pas mis en place correctement.
Veuillez contrler si le rservoir deau est mis en place correctement.
La LED Q (Dtartrage) et la LED R (Remplir le rservoir deau) sont allumes simultanment et une percolation nest pas possible.

Toutes les LED clignotent.
Un problme li lalimentation lectrique est survenu.
Dbranchez, puis rebranchez lappareil. Si le problme persiste pendant une longue priode de temps, faites contrler lalimentation lectrique de lappareil par un lectricien spcialis.
